Piper spent the first two years of her life in a pen filled
with filth, and used to breed "wolf dogs."   The only
human contact she had was abusive.  When she was
turned in to Animal Control, she was still nursing pups
from her last litter.   She and the pups were suffering from
severe malnutrition and a variety of intestinal parasites.
She was also a heavy heart worm positive. (see lower
picture).   She was rescued in January, '09, and has gained
considerable weight since.   She is also learning to trust
humans.   Her resilient Malamute temperament has
enabled her to bounce back a long way from the social
neglect and abuse she has suffered.  When she gets to
know you, she is very happy, loving and affectionate.
She has never shown the slightest bit of aggression, even
when she was terrified.   Piper will make a great pet for
someone who has the patience to gain her trust, and that
won't take long!
